Arboretum in Nanterre, France is an large estate project which aims to develop a brownfield site into a 125,000-sqm office campus within a large 9 hectare park on the banks of the Seine. Designed by architects Nicolas Laisné and François Leclercq, these offices will be made of solid wood. Work on this exceptional complex began in 2018, and the “Marketing Suite” inaugurated in September 2019 is a full-scale showroom for the entire future campus.
This 500-sqm building makes it possible to get a first idea of future workspaces, bathed in light thanks to the large bay windows, spacious and open to the outside, with balconies and terraces. The false ceiling is replaced by an apparent CLT wooden slab, lined right through with the Ignipli® Acoustic flame retardant Euroclass B from Woodenha Industries. In addition to the reaction to fire satisfying ERP regulations, the Ignipli® Acoustics used are grooved to provide optimal sound absorption required in this type of “open” space. The exposed wood thus creates a soothing working atmosphere.
