A huge “swell” of wood adorns the ceiling of the main hall of the Couëron media library, located on the former rehabilitated site of the “Tour à Plomb”, formerly the Tréfimétaux factory. This 900-sqm ceiling cladding, made of Douglas fir and larch batters entirely made fire-retardant in an autoclave by Woodenha Industries, provides natural heat that contrasts with the cold of steel. The hall is also open right through to natural light, which underlines the natural beauty of this wooden structure.
