The EFB, School of Professional Training of the Lawyers of the Court of Appeal of Paris is the most important of the eleven Regional Centers of Professional Training of Lawyers (CRFPA). This R + 6 building designed by Wilmotte & Associés teams is located in the town of Issy-les-Moulineaux, a stone’s throw from Paris. The architectural signature of the project is the reception hall on three levels which sees the wooden slats detach from the facades to curve freely inside the volume. These glued laminated douglas planks are flame retarded on the facade using the BIME® process, while the corrugations that form the special structure of the reception hall are flame retarded by the application of intumescent varnish, giving them a Euroclass B / M1 classification.
