This massive installation is the fruit of four months’ work between the collective of architects Vous, Atlanbois and “A Journey To Nantes“, initiated by a visit to the SEVA company, manufacturer of poplar crates in Maine and Loire. The crates are fireproofed in an autoclave by Woodenha Industries.
Splash! represents the frozen snapshot of a drop of water that has just hit a surface and explodes into tiny, essential particles. Many prototypes were manufactured by YOU, the ENSA and the ECSB before finalizing the giant pixelated “drop” that adorned Building B of Atlanbois in Nantes (Barré-Lambot) during the summer of A Journey To Nantes 2017 .
